Requirements

• High school diploma or other high school equivalency certificate
• Previous experience as a mechanic helper or related role preferred
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment used in a workshop is an asset
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements for the role: Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, to reach with hands and arms, work at varying heights, climb stairs, and/or ladders in FGI facilities, Frequent sitting, standing, and walking inside the branch
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
• Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
• Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence

Nice To Haves

• Enrollment in post-secondary education is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tasks to support service shop operations
• Help maintain overall cleanliness and organization of service shop
• Organize shop tools and supplies
• May assist journeyman mechanics with mechanical tasks
• Other duties as assigned
