Job Summary This position supports initiatives of the Operations team i n addition to general upkeep of the shop as well as assembly of valves and fittings along with minor mechanical repairs of equipment. Other duties may be assigned based on the business needs of the region.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-placement drug screen and satisfactory background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Valve and pipe plumbing assembly experience.
  • Experience repairing equipment or pumps
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the construction industry would be an asset.
  • Experience operating a forklift and powered hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble valves, pipe fittings, pumps and related materials.
  • Prep materials for shipments on pallets, crates, and/or boxes.
  • Provide assistance to shop crew.
  • Load, unload, and identify materials, and distribute them to the appropriate location.
  • Store and stack material.
  • Maintain supplies inventory and requisition replacement purchases.
  • Perform general shop clean up as needed.
  • Maintain quality and effectiveness of mechanical operations by observing and correcting for tool and equipment wear and breakage, malfunctions and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Lubricate machinery, equipment, or parts.
  • Assure safe environment and operations by strictly following all Company and industry safety procedures and regulations.
