About The Position
The Shop Laborer – Floater supports daily shop operations by helping maintain a clean, organized, efficient, safe, and reliable work environment. This position plays an important role in creating consistent production flow and ensuring field crews have the materials, parts, and equipment they need to successfully complete their work. This role is essential to creating predictable and efficient production, reducing delays and inefficiencies, and ensuring field crews leave each morning fully prepared with the materials and equipment required to complete their jobs successfully.
Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 20–50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, and move materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand and remain physically active for an 8–10 hour shift.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks as required.
Responsibilities
- Pull, organize, and prepare all vinyl and aluminum stock parts for upcoming jobs.
- Prepare and organize hardware for wood jobs.
- Load and unload field crew trailers.
- Process material and equipment returns.
- Perform physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory.
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
- Assist with special projects and other operational needs as assigned.
