About The Position
Bergen Pipe Supports is currently hiring a full-time Shop Labor to work out of one of our offices in Donora, PA. The Laborers are responsible for operating and maintaining the hydraulic and/or mechanical press equipment, industrial saws, and other fabrication machinery as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately in order to keep scrap at a minimum.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong focus on safety and quality; team player mentality a must.
- Ability to apply computer software skills, ability to learn applications quickly.
- Good working knowledge of figures and numbers.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently.
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in accordance with the work order.
- Select the proper template and materials for the work order.
- Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets.
- Assist in other departments when downtime occurs.
- Maintain quality standards.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment.
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
