About The Position

This role is responsible for various shop duties, including deburring, polishing, and processing parts. The Shop Helper will also assemble boxes, package products, and assist in shipping and receiving. A key part of the role involves safely loading, unloading, and delivering/picking up products using a company vehicle (non-DOT Box Truck). Maintaining the cleanliness of the company vehicle and work areas, adhering to safety policies, and accurately completing paperwork are also essential functions. The position requires good communication, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the company culture.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Great attention to detail and the ability to read paperwork and specifications.
Must have an excellent driving record.
Consistently at work and on time.
Follows written and verbal instructions, responds to management direction.
Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

Deburrs or polishes parts by scraping or rubbing with a file, wire brush, or buffing cloth.
Processes parts through the tumbler.
Cleans parts.
Assembles boxes and packages product according to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
Assists in Shipping & receiving as needed.
Safely and efficiently loads and unloads items using a company vehicle.
Safely delivers and picks up product to and from suppliers and customers using a non-DOT Box Truck.
Maintains cleanliness of company vehicle and Shipping & receiving areas.
Accurately completes all required paperwork.
Abides by and supports all safety and quality system requirements.
Provides good feedback and promotes good communication.
Promotes and lives company culture.
Assists with other shop duties and shipping when necessary.
