About The Position
The role of a Shop Helper involves assisting in day-to-day operations, maintaining cleanliness, and tidiness of the shop floor, along with organizing inventory and providing exceptional customer service. Tasks include restocking merchandise, operating relevant equipment, and ensuring a safe and well-presented retail environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment
- Basic knowledge of tools and machinery used in a shop environment
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with fellow shop employees
- Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as required
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks
- Valid Driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the shop
- Clean and organize work areas, tool room, and equipment
- Unload and load supplies and materials as needed
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and machinery
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment
- Provide support to other staff members as needed
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
- Fill in for parts runner as needed
- Assist in other departments as needed
