While you will apply through SOLV Energy, all day‑to‑day work, responsibilities, and decision‑making for this role will reside within SDI. A construction shop helper is responsible for providing support to skilled tradespeople within a construction shop by performing tasks like loading and unloading materials, preparing tools and work areas, assisting with multiple tasks, cleaning up debris, and maintaining the overall organization of the Shop/Yard, all while adhering to safety protocols and following instructions from supervisors. This role is located full-time in Sacramento, CA. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. and/or 1 years of experience in related field.
Forklift Certificate.
Basic computer skills with proficiency and working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Inventory Experience 1year.
Class C Driver License.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR/First Aid OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in construction.

Loading and Unloading construction Materials and Tools from Trucks.
Cleaning Heavy-Duty Equipment.
Shipping and Receiving.
Organizing Shop and Yard Tools and Supplies.
Shop Runs for parts or materials.
Inventory.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Prioritize safety by adhering to workplace regulations and ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.
May assist in ordering materials, tracking material deliveries, and maintaining records of material deliveries.
Other duties as assigned.
