About The Position

The Shop Hand is responsible for daily general shop and facilities upkeep and maintenance and assists the Rig Up/Down Crew. The role includes maintaining the shop and surrounding areas, helping repair and maintain equipment, handling supplies and equipment, and supporting inventory and uniform tracking. The position requires manual labor, communication and multitasking abilities, flexibility in scheduling, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel. Candidates must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform the manual labor required to maintain the facility.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, with emphasis on MS Excel.
• Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize the shop and surrounding areas, including the wash pad.
• Perform standard facilities maintenance to ensure the facility is in working order.
• Assist with general repair of tong cylinders, plug valves, slips, and other equipment maintenance.
• Install and maintain equipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
• Gather and deliver necessary equipment and parts to rig locations.
• Perform inventory checks of the parts cage to ensure the correct equipment is available for use.
• Track and issue work uniforms to employees.
• Assist the Rig Up/Down Crew.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
