About The Position

The Shop Hand, reporting to the Field Operations Manager, will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and execution of various shop-related duties at Steelhaus Canada Technologies Ltd.

Requirements

Physical capability to safely lift, bend and twist carrying heavy material up to 50 lbs.
Skilled in using basic hand, power, and air-actuated tools
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
Demonstrated ability to make frequent, complex decisions and work well under pressure with multiple deadlines
Excellent customer service skills with highly developed interpersonal, organization, and communication skills

Downhole tool experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Assembly and disassembly of Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA)
Cleaning BHA
Serialization of BHA
Pressure Testing BHA and Testing of Other Equipment
Maintaining records of components, usage, and write-offs
Performing routine housekeeping around the shop
Mechanical (Forklift) and manual lifting/moving of equipment, materials, and supplies
Picking, sorting, and taking inventory of shop items
Loading equipment/trailers for transportation
Operating company vehicle to perform Hot Shot trips
Responsible for quality control of products coming into or leaving the facility
Packaging/unpacking of materials and tools
Photocopying/scanning/printing
Equipment tracking
BHA usage tracking
Monitoring inventory and supplies
