About The Position

This position is responsible for refurbishing frac trailers and related components to include engines, pumps, transmissions, etc. Mid-level position – Generally has more than three years of experience, but less than six years, and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A Level III Technician is familiar with a variety of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Level III Technician performs a variety of standard and technical tasks, works under general supervision, and is often a team member on a large project. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Requirements

• Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift, and overhead crane operation
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Quality control analysis skills - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Operation and control skills - Controlling operations of equipment or systems
• Equipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
• The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
• The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
• The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
• The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
• Less than one year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs equipment and trailers.
• Performs inspections, preventive maintenance of equipment and trailers, and minor component replacement as applicable.
• Removes and installs components on frac pumping units.
• Removes and installs hydraulic hoses.
• Assists in the startup and testing of frac pump units.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized frac pumping units and work area.
• Provides technical support to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner; moreover, ensures maximum value for work performed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
