Requirements

• Technician experience in a shop or field role, with completion of Level 2 John Deere certification at minimum
• Demonstrated progressive mentorship and leadership capabilities
• Consistent proficiency scores and understanding of work order objectives and workload assignments
• Daily use of company computer systems with ability to learn additional systems as needed
• Internal employees applying must be in good standing with no performance or attendance concerns to be considered

Responsibilities

• Assign jobs and work orders to technicians based on skill and workload
• Supervise and support technicians in daily repair operations, to include coaching, mentoring and instructing on maintenance and repair work, and participate in performance planning and reviews
• Review work orders for accuracy and completeness, communicating effectively with service writers/advisors, technicians and customers
• Participate in repairs, reconditioning used equipment, setting up new equipment and assist with quoting service work
• Maintain shop tool records, inspect/repair special tools, assist with shop safety meetings, and work in conjunction with service department leadership to accomplish business objectives
