About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Shop Floor Controller to join our team in King of Prussia, PA! This role is responsible for driving, tracking, and managing all Work in Progress (WIP) from the point hardware is delivered to the floor until it is complete and delivered to the next user or stock. The position involves understanding and facilitating plan executions, ensuring supervision is aware of and working the right priorities, and providing status and hardware updates to leadership and support functions. The Shop Floor Controller will coordinate necessary support when hardware is on hold, perform look-ahead analysis to clear potential roadblocks, and participate in Operations Excellence Team (OET) initiatives and process improvements. A key responsibility is managing the Idle Jobs metric and overseeing both physical and system aspects of hardware.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic equipment parts and/or manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with ESH and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Secret clearance is required prior to start.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point), SAP, VE-CAMs, or Automation Framework.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive, track & manage all WIP (Work in Progress) from when hardware is delivered to the floor until it’s complete & delivered to the next user or stock
  • Understand & facilitate plan executions (daily & weekly goals)
  • Ensure supervision is aware of and working the right priorities across the programs
  • Provide status and hardware updates to leadership and support functions
  • Coordinate help needed when hardware is on hold with MRP/ME/QE/TE/Mgmt (inside the building) and with OL (Operations Leadership) for Program, Engineering (outside the building)
  • Perform look ahead analysis and clear potential upcoming roadblocks
  • Participate in OET’s (Operations Excellence Team) and process improvements
  • Responsible for Idle Jobs metric and hands on hardware (system & physical)
