About The Position

As a Shop Fabricator at Kovach, you will play a crucial role in our custom metal fabrication and assembly processes for various commercial construction projects. This position involves cutting, shearing, bending, drilling, punching, grinding, cleaning, assembly, glazing, and crating. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Arrive at the job site promptly at the required start time as indicated by the Supervisor.
Regularly review the work completed to ensure it meets Kovach's high-quality standards.
Demonstrate precision and attention to detail, reading tape measures to 1/16” increments.
Fit materials accurately and square when necessary.
Strictly adhere to Kovach's safety protocols and job site-specific requirements.
Immediately communicate any safety concerns or limitations to the Supervisor.
In the event of an injury on-site, report it without delay to the Supervisor.
Proactively identify and report potential problems or challenges to the Supervisor.
Ensure the well-being of fellow employees on-site, promoting a team-centric environment.
Demonstrate initiative in the tasks performed and continually seek to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Kovach scope of work.
Obtain forklift certification if required.
