About The Position
Flynn Group of Companies is looking for an experienced Shop Driver to join their team in Mississauga. This role involves working closely with the shipping and receiving team to transport raw and finished materials to storage locations or job sites. The position is full-time with day shift hours, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Requirements
- Must have valid Class AZ license (or higher) & clean driving record
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience of heavy truck driving; flatbed experience is required
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervised
- Ability to lift 80lbs for loading/offloading purposes
Responsibilities
- Picking orders and loading/unloading materials from trucks/trailers.
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift and other forklifts as per training and requirements.
- Operate a Walkie.
- Prepare skids for shipping (shrink wrapping etc.).
- Secure loads on truck/trailers as required.
- Delivery of materials to storage or manufacturing shops (extrusions, insulation, glazing and architectural items).
- Complete and maintain safety check sheets & driver logs.
- Responsible for pre and post trip inspections of truck(s).
- Perform end of day driver check-ins to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
- Regularly clean & organize work areas.
