We're looking for a Shop Bench Operator who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in precision craftsmanship, and is passionate about delivering exceptional products. This seasonal role is responsible for mounting bindings, applying Phantom treatment, performing ski repairs, supporting fulfillment, and ensuring every ski meets DPS's world-class quality standards. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of hands-on ski or snowboard tuning, repair, or service shop experience required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ski tuning, base repair, edge finishing, waxing, and binding mounting required.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, race-ready ski tunes accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, tuning equipment, and shop machinery.
  • Ability to inspect completed work, identify quality concerns, and follow established quality standards and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for accessing work orders, inventory records, and production systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to become cross-trained in other production and warehouse functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience completing and tracking service tickets, work orders, or production documentation preferred.
  • Experience with inventory organization, fulfillment preparation, packaging, labeling, or shipping preferred.
  • Knowledge of ski and snowboard products, equipment, and industry trends preferred.
  • Participation in or familiarity with snow sports preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mounting ski bindings accurately according to specifications
  • Applying Phantom permanent wax treatment
  • Performing ski tuning, waxing, edge finishing, base repair, and other service work
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets DPS quality standards
  • Managing shop work tickets and documenting completed work
  • Supporting fulfillment by preparing, packaging, labeling, and shipping completed skis
  • Organizing materials, components, and finished products to support inventory accuracy
  • Safely operating hand tools, tuning equipment, power tools, and shop machinery
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
  • Identifying equipment issues or opportunities for process improvements and communicating them to leadership
  • Assisting with inventory organization and warehouse activities as needed
  • Supporting special projects and performing other duties as assigned
