About The Position

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Assembler to work in our Canonsburg, PA, location. The Assembler will perform the duties described in the job description below, and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee. The ideal candidate will have a high sense of awareness in the workplace, regard safety as a high priority, have basic knowledge of tools and equipment, be team-oriented, and be customer service-driven. This candidate will also have experience in hands-on manufacturing, preferably in an industrial setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a mechanical and industrial environment.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude in an industrial work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of piping a plus
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Electrical experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Able to read mechanical drawings (knowledge of piping a plus)
  • Strong math skills (working with both fractions and metrics)
  • Attention to detail (work demands high tolerances, fit, and finish)
  • Ability to problem solve (interpreting drawings and spatial relationships)
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills such as: Use of power tools: drill, press, band saw, cut-off saw, pipe threader, electric drill, etc. Use of measuring tools, such as a tape measure, spirit level, plumb bob, etc. Use of hand tools, wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude, communicate well with others, and be an effective team member.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Take appropriate measures to ensure safety in the workplace.
  • Attends monthly safety meeting as required.
  • Notifies manager immediately (within 24 hours) of workplace injury and ensures appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
  • Reports potential safety hazards immediately to the manager.
  • Other duties as assigned
