Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Electrician to work in our Canonsburg, PA location. The Electrician will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee. The ideal candidate will be able to inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. This candidate will also have good organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or certificate from an accredited school OR HS Diploma or GED equivalent OR One (1) or more years’ experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience or more as an electrician, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of low and high-voltage systems
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical field.
  • Will perform a variety of tasks, and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders, cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site.
  • Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand mechanical & electrical blueprints
  • Read and understand P&ID (Piping & Instrument Diagram)
  • Design, fabricate, and install all types of wiring conduit
  • Pull and land wires
  • Wire junction boxes
  • Assemble and wire electrical components, including: Motors, Instruments, Terminal strips, Panduit, Heat tracing
  • Print and install the wire label.
  • Perform electrical maintenance in the shop.
  • Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Takes appropriate measures to ensure safety in the workplace; attends monthly safety meetings as required; notifies the manager immediately (within 24 hours) of workplace injury and ensures appropriate policies and procedures are followed; Reports potential safety hazards immediately to the manager.
