About The Position

The Shoe Runner will effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates, process unpurchased items and customer returns, and assist in shoe departments as needed. This role also involves proactively engaging customers, ensuring technology is functional, partnering with Specialty Shop Managers, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Responsibilities

Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates
Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy
Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed
Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance
Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift
Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization
The ability to perform basic calculations
Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team
