About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Shoe Runner to join their team. This role involves retrieving shoes from stock, processing returns, assisting in shoe departments, engaging with customers, and ensuring technology is functional. You will partner with Specialty Shop Managers and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
  • 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates
  • Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed
  • Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance
  • Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift
  • Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization
  • The ability to perform basic calculations
  • Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team
