Shipping Working Foreman
About The Position
The individual will work in a fast-paced work environment preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties: Oversees general shipping activities, leads shipping staff, maintains the shipping department, and is responsible for loading & unloading trucks. This role involves physically moving bread/bun stacks to the shipping dock using a two-wheel cart, and repetitive use of upper extremities to break down stacks of product for depot locations. The individual will also physically shuttle bread trays and materials to the staging area, unload semi-trailers, route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Additionally, the role includes loading cased bread/bun products onto pallets, operating an electric pallet jack, operating a stretch wrap bander, performing computer functions for tracking goods, working efficiently in a busy dispatch department, creating shipping labels, handling shipping information, and collaborating with the shipping team to complete orders in a timely manner.
