About The Position

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Shipping/Warehouse Team Member at its Arcadia, Wisconsin complex. The role involves inventorying and palletizing product with handheld scanners, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, loading trucks, and monitoring the x-ray process in a fast-paced, cold environment. The position also includes operating and maintaining weighing equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, rotating stock, supporting product rework, and keeping the work area clean through daily sanitation. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with occasional weekends.

Requirements

• Follow written and verbal directions.

• Lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Obtain a valid Pilgrim’s forklift license.
• Work in a cold environment.
• Push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Learn new procedures and equipment, including barcode and handheld scanners.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Pass vision screening for PIT use.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform basic maintenance on the auto scale.
• Perform manual scaling at the re-weigh station and perform basic maintenance on that equipment.
• Use handheld scanner equipment to inventory and palletize product.
• Repeatedly stack boxes weighing 45–50 pounds on pallets separated by product code.
• Assist with rework by repairing cases or identifying them for return.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by running and verifying inventory reports.
• Rotate stock as required.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Load trucks using equipment and by hand; cases can weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Accurately fill customer orders using handheld scanner equipment.
• Keep the area clean through daily general sanitation.
• Monitor the x-ray process and make necessary adjustments.
• Immediately report shipping problems or concerns to a Supervisor or Lead person.
• Monitor the process for partial cases to be worked into the process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
