About The Position

The Shipping Technician role is a safety sensitive position. This role will be temp to hire; based on performance, not quota. Targeted total annual compensation: Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour Swing Shift: $1 per hour shift differential Swing Shift [40 hours/week]: $21.00/hour starting + (up to) 52% of gross monthly earnings for full-time team members = $66,393.60 Gross figures listed above do not include taxes, benefit deductions, overtime earnings, HSA/401(k) employer contributions, etc., nor do they factor in possible unpaid absences and should not be considered as a guaranteed wage figure.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment.
  • Assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material.
  • Receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material.
  • Arranging for the transportation of products.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies.
  • Organize raw materials, label and store.
  • Count inventory items.
  • Assist with data-entry of inventory levels.
  • Cooperatively work as a member of a team.
  • Meet weekly production standards set by Cardinal CG management.
  • May assist with other departments as needed.
  • Accept more challenging assignments as experience and knowledge allows.
  • Train others to help them gain knowledge in your strength areas.
