About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA! You will work an average of 54 hours per week (including OT) between 6 am - 4:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $16.50-$21.25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, or other industrial power vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a forklift to move telecommunications shelters, prison modules, and other building units within the facility.
  • Directs movements of the straddle lift and communicates with other team members at the site verbally and using a radio to ensure safety of the team and product.
  • Operate a forklift and truck to move buildings on the company grounds.
  • Hook and unhook cables to buildings.
  • Re-rig straddle lift.
  • Communicate with spotters or other operators via radio to move buildings.
  • Ensure all bolts used in lifting are torqued to the proper degree.
  • Assist with spotting buildings and ensure all personnel are clear of the lifts when buildings are being transported.
  • Assist in directing the straddle lift operator during building transport and lifts.
  • Place foam pieces on trailers for buildings to rest on.
