Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years experience in material and document flow within a production system.
  • 2 years of experience operating a forklift.
  • 1-2 years experience working with ERP systems.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to operate electronic scanners, printers, and other similar equipment.
  • Attention to detail with orders, measurements, and documentation.
  • Clear communication both verbal and written.
  • Clearly communicates with supervisors, team members, and drivers to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork and follow company guidelines.
  • Computer skills with Basic Microsoft office and ERP.
  • Customer focus to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve shipping or equipment issues.
  • Reliable and accountable in meeting deadlines and productivity goals.
  • Strong commitment to safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Preferred 3+ years ERP/SAP experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift.
  • Experience operating an overhead crane.
  • Experience with shipping and material handling duties.

Responsibilities

  • Organization and implementation of daily shipping and receiving flow.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks to maintain shipping and receiving flow while safely operating a forklift.
  • Assemble necessary truck loading papers based on trip sheet from transportation.
  • Audit accuracy of material orders prior to loading trucks and verify shipment load accuracy.
  • Complete shipping paperwork and maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
  • Utilize computer system, enter quality results, and generate production reports.
  • Interpret manifests, pick lists, sales orders, and other shipping documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of semi-truck weight capacities per axle and full truck load.
  • Receive and forward receiving documents for resale items to Operations Support.
  • Pull, package, and label accessory parts for orders using pick lists.
  • Support production roles through cross-functional training and position coverage (i.e., Packaging, Material Handling, & Machine Operation) as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
