About The Position

Wagstaff manufactures equipment for aluminum producers, who process formed aluminum into parts and products you use every day. As a Shipping Team Member, you will prepare product to be shipped in accordance with shipping guidelines. This role involves verifying and confirming product, boxing/packaging it according to guidelines, and prioritizing work to meet scheduled dates. You will also provide information for shipping documentation, load equipment onto trucks using overhead cranes or forklifts, construct wooden shipping crates, and utilize automated shipping systems. Additionally, you will identify and initiate product/process improvements, document work processes, maintain a clean work area, and abide by company policies. Working in excess of 40 hours may be required to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or demonstrated competency
Familiarity with power tool operation
Knowledge of basic carpentry skills
Forklift experience

Responsibilities

Verify and confirm product to be shipped
Box/package product in accordance to shipping guidelines
Prioritize work according to ship dates and meet or beat the scheduled date
Provide information to the Shipping department for completion of shipping documentation
Load equipment onto trucks by use of overhead cranes or forklifts and secure as needed
Construction of small wooden shipping crates
Use of automated shipping systems such as DHL or UPS
Identify and initiate product/process improvements
Document work processes
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
Abide by company policies
