About The Position

Wagstaff manufactures equipment for aluminum producers, who process formed aluminum into parts and products you use every day. As a Shipping Team Member, you will prepare product to be shipped in accordance with shipping guidelines. This role involves verifying and confirming product, boxing/packaging it according to guidelines, prioritizing work to meet ship dates, and providing information for shipping documentation. You will also load equipment onto trucks using overhead cranes or forklifts, construct small wooden shipping crates, and utilize automated shipping systems like DHL or UPS. The position also requires identifying and initiating product/process improvements, documenting work processes, and maintaining a clean work area. Adherence to company policies is expected, and work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required to achieve business objectives. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or demonstrated competency
Familiarity with power tool operation
Knowledge of basic carpentry skills
Forklift experience

Responsibilities

Verify and confirm product to be shipped
Box/package product in accordance to shipping guidelines
Prioritize work according to ship dates and meet or beat the scheduled date
Provide information to the Shipping department for completion of shipping documentation
Load equipment onto trucks by use of overhead cranes or forklifts and secure as needed
Construction of small wooden shipping crates
Use of automated shipping systems such as DHL or UPS
Identify and initiate product/process improvements
Document work processes
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
Abide by company policies
Work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
Other duties as assigned
