About The Position

Clopay Corporation is seeking a Shipping Team Lead for its Troy, Ohio location. This role involves ensuring the safety, quality, and security of products, leading and motivating a team, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. The Team Lead will be responsible for verifying outgoing products, managing inventory, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and developing Standard Operating Procedures. This position is on the 3rd shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Experience in all job tasks and duties with the assigned department.
Ability to read production documents.
Ability to identify different parts, products, etc.
Ability to operate equipment such as a forklift, electric pallet jack, crane, etc.
Basic computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft Office Products.

Some college education preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of personnel, quality, and security of product.
Lead, delegate, and motivate employees.
Maintain clear, orderly, and safe shipping docks, warehouse areas, staging areas, and storage areas.
Instruct loaders, material handlers, and equipment operators on the safe handling of materials.
Verify all outgoing product and ensure inventory rotation.
Manage inventory by properly handling, staging, and shipping finished goods.
Drive continuous improvement projects and formulate recommendations to improve product flow and appropriate equipment.
Implement identified safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
Select, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
Monitor employee performance.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures and document appropriately.
Complete related reports as needed to accomplish staging, shipping, and organization mission.
