About The Position

Independence Corrugated, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners and a leader in the corrugated manufacturing industry, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor for its state-of-the-art facility in Oak Creek, WI. This role is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely shipment of products to all customers, ensuring all documented service requirements are met. The Shipping Supervisor plans, orders, and directs all activities within the Shipping Department. Independence Corrugated values its employees and strives to support them and their families.

Requirements

1-5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
English proficiency
Basic computer and office software skills
Excel knowledge
Strong work ethic
Excellent time management skills and well-organized
Must be able to walk around the floor and lift 30+ lbs.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to cover other shifts when needed.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma
1-5+ years in management
1-3+ years in shipping

Responsibilities

Coach and counsel employees on a regular basis.
Maintain work schedules, including vacation and overtime.
Train current and new employees.
Collaborate with the accounting department for billing purposes.
Coordinate and communicate outbound shipments with carriers.
Liaise with the customer service/scheduling department regarding orders and deliveries.
Provide necessary paperwork to drivers.
Negotiate rates with trucking companies.
Distribute schedules to forklift drivers to align with the production schedule.
Ship parts for other departments, including LTL shipments.
Interview and hire new staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
