About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of orders within the warehouse environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all products are picked, packed, and shipped in a timely manner. The Shipping Supervisor will lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to optimize workflow and maintain high standards of safety and quality. Additionally, this role involves monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Ultimately, the Shipping Supervisor is key to enhancing customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a warehouse or shipping environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management and shipping processes.
Order picking and order pulling skills.
Proficiency in WMS.
Inventory management skills.
Material handling equipment knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience with advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Certification in material handling or safety training.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage and train warehouse staff on order picking, packing, and shipping processes to enhance productivity.
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment.
Conduct regular audits of inventory and shipping processes to identify areas for improvement.
