About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the shipping department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with other departments. This role involves developing and implementing shipping policies, monitoring equipment and supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to use company owned software and associated programs
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the shipping department staff
Ensure that all orders are processed and shipped in a timely and efficient manner
Review incoming orders and ensure product received comply to purchase requirements
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all products are properly labeled and packaged
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all orders are fulfilled correctly
Timely input data into company approved systems for goods received and shipped
Prepare bill of ladings and packing slips; coordinate incoming and outbound shipments
Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors
Monitor and maintain shipping equipment and supplies
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
