About The Position

AdeptHR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee outbound shipping operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective shipments while leading and supporting a team of shipping associates. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in distribution and logistics.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3–5 years of shipping or warehouse/distribution experience
1–3 years of supervisory or lead experience
Strong knowledge of outbound shipping processes and carrier requirements
Experience with LTL, FTL, parcel shipping, and routing guides
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

Experience with WMS, TMS, or ERP systems (ROI, ProShip, Latitude, etc.)
Familiarity with RF scanners and shipping software
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

Supervise daily shipping operations including staging, loading, and dispatch
Ensure all outbound shipments meet accuracy, compliance, and customer requirements
Coordinate carrier pickups, dock schedules, and appointments
Review shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels, ASNs)
Monitor labor allocation, workflow, and productivity to meet deadlines
Communicate shipment updates, delays, or issues to internal teams
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or mis-shipments
Enforce safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance
Train, coach, and support shipping staff and leads
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping area
Support peak volume periods and continuous improvement initiatives
