About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor will be an integral member of Waukesha-Badger Supply Chain Team, with responsibilities aimed at on-time customer delivery through execution of the strategic and tactical supply chain plan. This position is responsible for shipping for the Badger Drive facility’s supply chain activities and will drive materials management best practices to achieve the sales and production schedules, meet customer requirements, align plant capacity, optimize the utilization of the workforce, and minimize manufacturing costs. This individual is also responsible for finished goods inventory control by managing cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and internal materials replenishment strategies to meet inventory DOH and excess & obsolete management targets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Minimum of three (3) year of experience in a Supervisor or Team Lead role
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient experience with planning using SAP.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • APICS certification (CPIM).
  • Demonstrated capability of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies – Green Belt certification a plus.
  • Proven experience with quality assurance and reporting accuracy.
  • Proven knowledge and applications skills with process improvements.
  • Ability to work with engineering teams and all operations related departments.
  • Understands key MRP Health metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and coordinating activities to ensure vital plant metrics, including but not limited to; customer on-time delivery, backlog, days on hand inventory, and past due work orders/schedules.
  • Coordinate 3rd party warehousing, consignment, vendor manager inventory (VMI), interplant shipments, and other offsite scheduling as needed.
  • Leverages the annual and monthly operating plans to determine appropriate objectives and performance expectations for the materials management team.
  • Direct management of logistics coordinators and related SCM activities.
  • Train and educate the shipping team on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related tools.
  • Responsible for executing shipments for Badger Drive, Lincoln Avenue, and TMS.
  • Perform ad-Hoc analysis as assigned.
