About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor owns all outbound shipping functions and is fully accountable for execution, accuracy, and on-time performance. This role ensures all shipments-parcel, LTL, and truckload are processed correctly, documented, and shipped on schedule. This position also serves as the single point of ownership for all non-company vehicle shipping issues and is responsible for building the administrative support structure to sustain operation. This role must work together with the Transportation Team to ensure alignment of scheduling, routing, and overall delivery performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operation
  • Supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of FedEx / parcel systems
  • Strong working knowledge of LTL and truckload shipping
  • Strong working knowledge of BOL creation and ERP/shipping systems
  • Proven ability to own problems through resolution
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally (especially with transportation teams)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead and develop team members

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of all FedEx and small parcel orders
  • Ensure same-day processing, accuracy, and proper labeling for parcel shipments
  • Oversee all customer opening orders from release through shipment, ensuring prioritization and zero service failures
  • Coordinate, schedule, and execute all LTL and full truckload shipments, ensuring carrier alignment and on-time departures
  • Create all Bills of Lading (BOLs) accurately and timely
  • Ensure all orders are invoiced in the system prior to shipment
  • Maintain complete and accurate shipping records
  • Own and resolve all shipping-related issues not involving company drivers, including carrier delays, damages, shortages, missed pickups, and escalations
  • Act as the main communication point between carriers, customers, and internal teams for shipping issues
  • Work together with the Transportation Team on all outbound activity, aligning daily on priorities, schedules, and route planning
  • Communicate shipment readiness, delays, and issues in real time to the Transportation Team
  • Support overall on-time delivery performance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Hire, train, and develop a Shipping Administrative Assistant
  • Build a support structure that ensures coverage across all shipping functions, clear ownership of daily tasks, and no gaps in execution
