About The Position

The Shipping Specialist manages daily outgoing freight operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective product delivery. This role is responsible for preparing shipments, utilizing the My Courier tracking portal, and coordinating directly with external freight carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and regional motor freight lines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years in a warehouse shipping, receiving, or logistics role.
• Proficiency with third-party logistics portals (like My Courier) and carrier software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority shipments simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating warehouse machinery, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, book, and route outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, and various Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) motor freight carriers.
• Input, update, and monitor real-time tracking data and shipment status through the My Courier tracking portal.
• Generate accurate shipping labels, packing slips, commercial invoices, and Bills of Lading (BOL).
• Safely pick, pack, weigh, and palletize industrial or commercial products according to carrier guidelines and safety standards.
• Track delayed or lost shipments through carrier networks and resolve delivery discrepancies proactively.
• Maintain stock of shipping supplies and log completed orders into the internal warehouse management system.
