Shipping Specialist
About The Position
Sage is looking for a Shipping Specialist to prepare packages and process incoming shipments for domestic customers. This requires use of computers, emails, scanners and other material handling equipment. Our Mission is making the world more Sustainable by extending the life of electronics. The Shipping Specialist is responsible for the sorting, packing, and shipping of Cell phones, tablets, and other consumer electronic devices to customers and direct to consumers. This role will work in a fast paced production environment and must be able to do multiple job functions. This role requires a high attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and has a low margin for error. Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and freight shipments is a must. Strong computers skills, utilizing Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn proprietary programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months experience in shipping or general warehouse/distribution experience
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and freight shipments is a must.
- Strong computers skills, utilizing Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn proprietary programs.
Responsibilities
- Sorts and packs orders according to procedures
- Processes cartons utilizing automated and proprietary shipping systems
- Helps maintain the shipping/receiving areas in a clean and orderly manner
- Cross-train to assist Production departments
- Other duties as assigned
