About The Position

Fairway Home Mortgage is seeking a detail-oriented Post-Closing Shipping Specialist to join their team. This remote, work-from-home opportunity involves reviewing, auditing, and delivering completed loan packages to investors, ensuring all documentation meets investor requirements and delivery guidelines. The ideal candidate will be organized, deadline-driven, and experienced in mortgage post-closing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related mortgage industry experience.
  • At least 1 year of post-closing experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and accountability.
  • Understanding of mortgage loan documents and post-funding loan lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of mortgage underwriting and closing documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with investor and warehouse bank guidelines.
  • Understanding of loan shipping practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of State Housing Finance Agency (HFA) programs is preferred.
  • Proficiency with mortgage loan systems, including Encompass, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Audit loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance using established investor checklists and delivery requirements.
  • Review disclosures, underwriting documents, closing packages, and Housing Finance Agency (HFA) documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver loan files and image packages required for investor purchase, including pre-purchase and post-purchase submissions.
  • Coordinate check requests and verify payments related to compliance, escrow, MCC, and other applicable requirements.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to obtain additional documentation needed to satisfy investor and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate updates, notes, and tracking information in Encompass and other applicable systems.
  • Monitor loan delivery timelines, lock expiration dates, and service level expectations to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide timely and professional support through phone, email, and instant messaging.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and department initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
