About The Position

This is an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. The work is routine or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised. The role involves communicating information that requires little explanation or interpretation. The purpose of this role is to receive, unpack, store, distribute, and record inventory materials and products used by the company. The specialist will also pull orders, pack, and prepare them for shipment, while observing all shipping and receiving functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred, not required.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with all product lines and customer base.
• Familiarity with the data works system and ability to input and retrieve data.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and software manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, and ship customer orders.
• Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked in the warehouse.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Perform any and all duties/assignments requested by management.
