About The Position

Join our sawmill operation, a dynamic facility dedicated to creating cut stock for pallet manufacturing. We process logs into cut stock and finished pallets, providing high-quality products to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to manage our shipping, trailer coordination, and related logistics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and shipping/logistics software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and trailer maintenance requirements is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate all product shipments, including cut stock and finished pallets, ensuring timely deliveries to customers.
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping paperwork such as bills of lading, manifests, and delivery receipts.
  • Communicate with trucking companies and drivers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues or delays.
  • Manage the fleet of trailers, ensuring their availability for loading and deliveries.
  • Coordinate and schedule trailer maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Track trailer usage and maintain records of inspections, repairs, and service schedules.
  • Work closely with production, inventory, and customer service sales teams to align shipping schedules with production output and customer needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to plan efficient shipments and reduce downtime.
  • Resolve delivery issues, including rerouting shipments or addressing customer concerns, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, trailer movements, and repairs.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on shipping performance and costs as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs when applicable.
