About The Position
This role is responsible for performing all team assignments related to shipping operations in the dairy department. Key duties include maintaining housekeeping, selecting product for loading, loading and unloading trailers, operating a palletizer and tow motor, and maintaining equipment in the work area. Accurate inventory recording and completion of required paperwork are also essential. The position requires a willingness to learn and perform various tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to obtain forklift license after training
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more frequently
- Ability to pull 180-200 pounds across a slick surface
- Ability to bend, reach, pull, carry, and lift continuously
- Willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks and duties as assigned
- Ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended amount of time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ability to work well with others and be a team player
