About The Position

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is searching for 2nd Shift – Shipping Room Helper employees to help satisfy our growing needs. Shipping employees are responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant movement of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., stand, walk, twist, push, pull, bend and tolerate repetitive movements
• Ability to work in a freezer/cooler environment (-0 to 32+ degrees)
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic level of reading, writing, counting, and label-checking skills
• Perform daily tasks while following all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain strong organizational and time management skills
• Communicating effectively with team members

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, and report issues promptly
• Retrieve items from storage, package them securely, and attach correct labels and/or documentation
• Prepare shipping and receiving reports, update shipment tracking data, and report irregularities or delays to supervisors
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations
• Completion of routine paperwork
• Obtain and process product orders, register deliveries, and distribute packages
• Organize, clean, and stock; count inventory; and maintain accurate shipping/receiving logs
• Schedule large shipments, plan storage space
• Assist with troubleshooting shipping issues
