About The Position

This role is for a Shipping & Receiving position with a split shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 11 am to 7 pm. The position involves loading and unloading trucks, performing shipping transactions, distributing materials, maintaining inventory records, troubleshooting shipment issues, and operating machinery like forklifts. The role requires adaptability, good communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to lift 25-30 lbs. It may involve hazardous operations and working shifts beyond a standard workweek, requiring the employee to be at least 18 years of age. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Able to follow all safety and EHS policies and procedures.
  • Follow all GE and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality workmanship with attention always directed to task.
  • Evaluate quality problems that inhibit the process with an effective solution.
  • Ability to adapt to new methods and / or customer satisfaction.
  • Must display good communication skills, both written and oral with all teams.
  • Experienced with computers.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft office package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
  • Fork truck license or willingness to get fork truck license, including chemical handling license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks with material and finished modules.
  • Perform shipping transactions to ship modules in both CAS and Oracle ERP system.
  • Distribute materials to workstations.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory record of all incoming material.
  • Troubleshoot any problems or issues with incoming/outgoing shipments or paperwork.
  • Provide back up for current positions in Plant 2 OSV.
  • Operate machinery as needed (Forklift).
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to a working environment that changes daily to keep incoming/ outgoing materials moving to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
