About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving associate packs orders according to customer requirements, prepares shipping labels and bar codes, loads and unloads trucks, operates a Hi-Lo truck, constructs boxes, retrieves and stocks parts and materials, and performs inventory and weight counts. The role includes staging finished orders for loading, visually inspecting products before packaging, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The associate may perform other shipping and receiving duties as required by the supervisor. This position has a stated starting rate of $22.39. Trainee evaluations are conducted weekly, training follows a training plan, and there is a 60-day qualification period.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of arithmetic.
Basic oral and written communication skills.
Basic storekeeping knowledge.
Basic understanding of personal computers, including retrieving selected information, processing reports, and entering data.
Ability to use independent judgment in packing, stacking, and arranging shipments and to prioritize jobs.
Comply with Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) rules and procedures.
Ability to pass the OSHA Hi-Lo test; possession of a Hi-Lo license is required.

Responsibilities

Pack orders according to customer requirements, including banding, weighing, and wrapping shipments; stage finished orders for loading.
Make shipping labels and create and attach bar codes to boxes according to customer requirements.
Load and unload trucks.
Operate a Hi-Lo truck.
Construct boxes and stock cardboard as needed.
Pull and move parts by matching move and reel tags, and document move tags as necessary.
Retrieve and stock incoming parts and materials, including putting incoming plating and audit parts away.
Perform weight counts and adjust inventory as necessary.
Conduct inventory of boxes and reels.
Visually inspect products before packaging for customers.
Compact discarded packing and shipping materials.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Perform other duties related to shipping and receiving as required by the supervisor.
