About The Position

Ultra-met is looking for employees for a Shipping & Receiving position. The company offers a $2,000 retention bonus for new hires and a climate-controlled facility. This role involves minimal forklift driving, handling smaller parts with no heavy lifting required, and working in a quiet, clean, and safe environment where eating and drinking at the workstation is permitted. Ultra-met provides an extensive, site-specific training program designed to make employees comfortable, knowledgeable, and prepared.

Requirements

Ability to review job tickets and sales orders.
Ability to remove parts from sintering racks and sandblast.
Ability to operate the vertical storage unit.
Ability to package parts into special containers and boxes.
Ability to create labels for product packaging.
Ability to print and include material conformance sheets.
Ability to label and ready packages for UPS Shipping.
Ability to initiate scrap sheets.
Ability to complete time sheets.
Ability to recommend the purchase of forms, equipment, or supplies.
Ability to assist with training new employees.
Ability to maintain department equipment.
Ability to work with other department employees to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

Review job tickets and sales orders to determine order requirements.
Remove parts from sintering racks and sandblast as required.
Operate the vertical storage unit to store and retrieve stock.
Package parts into special containers and boxes for shipment to customers.
Create labels for product packaging.
Print and include material conformance sheets as required.
Label and ready packages for UPS Shipping.
Initiate scrap sheets as required.
Complete time sheets as required.
Recommend the purchase of forms, equipment, or supplies needed to support the Shipping function.
Assist the Shipping Manager with the training of new employees.
Maintain all department equipment in a clean and reliable condition.
Work with other department employees to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
