About The Position

We are looking for a talented Shipping & Receiving Working Leader to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC. This role acts as a formal resource coordinating others and coordinates operations through interaction with operations management. The Working Leader coordinates activities for different areas like Inbound, Outbound, Kitting, etc. based on direction from Operations management.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating activities in areas such as Inbound, Outbound, and Kitting.
• Commitment to safety and use of proper protective equipment.
• Awareness and responsible actions for minimizing environmental impact.
• Ability to lead and engage in HSE training.
• Skill in identifying and escalating quality issues.
• Proficiency in accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ability to drive improvements in safety, quality, process flow, and housekeeping.
• Effective collaboration skills with peers, support teams, and skilled trades.

Responsibilities

• Stopping unsafe work and reporting hazards immediately, preventing injuries and reinforcing a culture where safety is non negotiable.
• Using proper protective equipment and correcting hazards within your control, showing leadership through consistent safe behavior.
• Minimizing environmental impact through awareness and responsible actions, helping the site meet its sustainability commitments.
• Leading and engaging in HSE training, raising workforce competence and building an interdependent safety culture.
• Identifying quality issues early and escalating them, reducing defects, rework, and cost exposure.
• Ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, directly supporting reliable, on time delivery to customers.
• Driving improvements in safety, quality, process flow, and housekeeping, contributing to a more efficient and stable operation.
• Collaborating effectively with peers, support teams, and skilled trades, strengthening team performance and keeping equipment in good working condition.
