About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Team Member works in the Shipping & Receiving Department at the Elyria, Ohio site. The role prepares and processes shipments with carriers and accompanying paperwork, receives and tallies incoming shipments, prepares and distributes receiving reports, and checks and stores materials in their proper warehouse locations. The team member also maintains warehouse material storage, operates trucks to pick up and deliver merchandise, and uses UPS and receiving computer systems. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The posting lists a pay rate of $22.66 per hour plus a $1.25 shift differential, totaling $23.91 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating a forklift.
• Basic computer skills, specifically performing inventory transactions.
• Forklift certification or ability to successfully complete the B&D-approved forklift certification program.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and stand and walk for most of an 8-hour day.
• Ability to bend and lift products, equipment, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipments through any type of carrier, including all necessary paperwork.
• Receive and tally incoming shipments.
• Prepare receiving reports and distribute copies to interested parties.
• Check materials against packing slips or order requisitions and store them in the proper locations.
• Maintain the storage of materials in the warehouse.
• Operate trucks to pick up and deliver merchandise at specified locations.
• Use UPS and receiving computer systems.
