Shipping & Receiving Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
This position is for a Shipping and Receiving Operator on the 2nd shift, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The role offers a pay range starting around $19/hour plus a shift differential for the 2nd shift. It provides on-the-job training, opportunities for growth and career advancement, and benefits after 30 days of employment. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role on the warehouse team. The operator will use a forklift and pallet jack to move products on and off trucks while adhering to all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include verifying inventory and visually inspecting shipments for quality.
Requirements
- Ability to operate or learn sit-down forklifts (single and double)
- Ability to read, interpret, and scan pallet identification numbers accurately
- Comfortable working in cold storage/freezer environments (as low as -20°F) with company-provided PPE and freezer gear
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. (may vary by facility)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels

Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts (single and double forks) to move product throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments safely and efficiently
- Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped
- Locate and pick requested items within the warehouse using RF scanning equipment
- Inspect pallets and products for damages or quality issues and report findings to leadership
- Pack, stage, and label materials/pallets for shipping while verifying counts and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the end of each shift
- Work with other machinery and material handling equipment as needed
- Support overall warehouse operations and team objectives
