About The Position

Responsible for packing, shipping, and receiving all products produced. The role performs shipping and receiving duties at a soy processing facility, including loading products, weighing trucks, recording shipment information, maintaining clean work areas, monitoring inventory, and following food safety and quality requirements. The listed shift is night shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic computer skills, including experience operating menu-driven programs and using a computer mouse.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, moving, pushing, or pulling loads weighing up to 100 pounds and occasionally pushing or pulling more than 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Read Bills of Lading to confirm the proper product and amount to be loaded.
Weigh empty trucks in accurately and in a timely manner.
Load the proper product and amount from Inventory according to the Bill of Lading.
Weigh trucks out after loading and accurately record all information.
Communicate effectively with management to ensure efficient operation.
Maintain a clean work environment in shipping and receiving areas.
Fix leaks when noticed, using proper PPE.
Clean spills immediately when noticed.
Operate an industrial fork truck or bobcat to load products.
Take accurate inventories of bins, silos, and the warehouse as directed.
Receive and load out soybeans at the downtown elevator as directed by management.
Follow all GMP requirements.
Report food safety or quality issues immediately to a supervisor or member of Quality Assurance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
