About The Position

Lightweight Manufacturing, a Seaman Corporation Company, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Material Handler for their day shift. This role is crucial for the safe, smooth, and efficient flow of materials within the building, handling shipments to and from vendors and customers, and managing associated paperwork for shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The position involves assisting the Cutting/Warehouse Specialist to ensure departmental efficiency. Requirements

1+ year of experience in Manufacturing or Shipping/Receiving
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
Basic knowledge of measurements (Knowledge of the metric system a plus!)
Forklift/Hand truck experience
Microsoft Office knowledge
Familiarity with computer use

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily activities of the department including all Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing functions.
Prepare customer orders for shipment
Load and unload outgoing and incoming truck shipments
Receive incoming freight
Monitor and maintain warehouse inventory
Manage material movements
Assist with 10% inventory counts
Provide flexibility for shift coverage and overtime
Assist in the operation of automated, computerized cutting machine for industrial fabrics
Perform other duties as assigned.
