About The Position
PVS Metals, part of Owen Industries, is hiring a Material Handler for its shipping and receiving team in Carter Lake, Iowa. This hands-on, active role supports the movement of raw materials into the plant and finished parts out to customers. The position pays $20.00 per hour plus a $2.00-per-hour second-shift differential, for an effective rate of $22.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The role involves moving and staging materials and supplies, packaging and palletizing products, and loading and unloading trucks. Material Handlers operate forklifts and overhead cranes, maintain organized work areas, and contribute to safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Forklift or crane experience is a plus, but the employer is willing to train the right candidate. Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Move and stage raw materials, semi-finished parts, and packaging supplies across the plant using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Assist with packaging, palletizing, and accurately and efficiently loading and unloading trucks.
- Transport semi-finished parts and customer-specific racks, totes, and pallets to designated areas.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes in compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and promptly report equipment defects.
- Support the team in meeting quality standards and on-time delivery goals.
- Represent PVS Metals professionally in interactions with drivers, vendors, and crew members.
