About The Position

viaPhoton is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead their shipping and receiving operations. This role involves overseeing a team of 7+ individuals, partnering with various departments and external carriers to ensure efficient product movement. The supervisor will be responsible for setting quality standards, maintaining accurate inventory, and actively participating on the warehouse floor. This is a hands-on position requiring both day-to-day operational management and team development.

Requirements

Proven shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team on the warehouse floor.
Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international supply chain logistics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts.
Organized and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 7+ shipping and receiving staff, communicating expectations, recognizing achievements, and driving continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including personnel management, stock movements, and accurate inventory control.
Coordinate with Production to prioritize shipments according to customer requirements and production schedules.
Manage freight carriers and logistics providers, ensuring accurate shipping documentation and timely transportation.
Establish quality metrics for inbound and outbound deliveries and inspect received items to identify discrepancies.
Complete accurate ERP transactions and collaborate with Customer Success, Project Managers, and Planners to meet delivery commitments.
